Data Validation Streamlines Identification of Possible Errors & Issues
SmartLoader automates data validation to enable quicker verification and review of workbooks. Rather than relying upon your team to cross-check spreadsheets manually, SmartLoader for Human Capital Management includes features that allow for errors and inconsistencies to be identified automatically. The tool runs reports to identify issues such as missing data and duplications, while correcting workbook formatting and removing blank rows. Specific checks include:
- Position start date & compensation effective dates are not before the hire date
- Compensation element amount is reasonable for the employee’s pay rate type
- Supervisory organization structure has at least one top-level organization
- More than one spouse per employee
- End employment date is populated for employee types that are fixed term
- Primary percentages and contingent percentages add up to 100%
- Duplicate SSNs for dependents & beneficiaries
- Benefit plans where the dates don’t align
- Beneficiary or dependent on a benefit plan is attached to the employee
- HSA plan is tied to a medical plan
- Spouse life or child life plan has the correct dependent attached

Kevin Elmore is the Chief Financial Officer of TopBloc, a leading Workday services partner providing strategic advisory, implementation, and managed services. A co-founder of the company, Kevin brings over 30 years of experience in consulting and software, with a proven track record in business strategy, capital growth, and team leadership. Since 2008, he has played a pivotal role in over 150 Workday deployments, leading some of the largest and most complex implementations for global enterprises, including Hewlett-Packard, Motorola Mobility, Medtronic, CareFusion, and Johnson Controls. He helped pioneer the Financials product line, leading implementations at CSAA and at TripAdvisor, one of Workday’s first publicly traded Financials customers. Before founding TopBloc, Kevin launched and scaled two successful companies, including Aggressor, Workday’s first premier implementation partner, which was later acquired by Deloitte. With deep expertise in Human Capital Management and Financials transformation, Kevin continues to drive TopBloc’s growth and innovation in enterprise cloud solutions.
